Janayugom is a Malayalam daily newspaper published in Kerala, India. We transformed the the software used to layout the news paper from propitiatory software to free software. We Built a Kubuntu based custom distro Janayugom GNU/ Linux as their main OS and Scribus for layouting purpose. Now it is the first daily newspaper in the world to use 100% Free Software for news publishing. I would like to talk about the technology, process, people involved behind it to do this migration.
